Where can I pick up my competitor packet, and when?
Advanced Division Competitor packets will be available starting at noon on Thursday, July 16. All other Divisions (BN, N, T, P) will be available starting at noon on Friday, July 17. You may pick packets up from the Secretary’s/Show Office located in the Stabling area.
Where can I get an Order of Go and Cross-Country maps?
Orders of Go and maps will be available at the Secretary’s/Show Office. These items are also available as links and/or downloadable PDFs on the Essex Horse Trials website.
Where can I find results for the competition?
- Results will be posted as made official at the Secretary’s/Show Office.

Can I bring a scooter, moped or golf cart?
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the property.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash at all times. No exceptions! Loose dogs are a hazard to competing horses, will be impounded, and the owners fined $100.
Can I camp on the grounds?
Overnight camping is permitted on the Moorland Farm grounds. You may also refer to this link to Somerset County Tourism for a list of area accommodations. Gates open to Competitors at noon on Thursday, June 20 and close at 10 pm each night.
Where can I get food or drinks on the grounds?
Food and beverages will be available for purchase onsite from vendors or you may bring your own. We do ask that you limit glass and clean up after yourself to help keep the grounds at Moorland Farm beautiful.

What happens if it rains?
The competition will go on during inclement weather. Only in the case of lightening or torrential rains that make riding unsafe would there be a temporary cessation of activities.
